Cold and wintery day as normal at that time of year in the North East, to be fair, most of the year a jacket is needed. It is easy to get down onto the small beach. 5 minutes from Tynemouth station.Full review by 422iana

Not alot left to Tynemouth and isn't a dump not alot to do attracts old people and the poor. Shame what happend to this place, I recommend visiting for 1 hour.Full review by bensH8525DL

Is there access for the disabled?
A:
It's not fully accesible for disabled but there's a small tarmac road wich goes down to the bay it self from what I remember.

Are you allowed to take dogs to this beach?
A:
yes from September to May, you can also go to long sands beach at the far end in summer with your dog, then you can call at The View for drinks or food

A:
I have seen people fishing off the rocks at the edge of the beach.. But be aware the tide covers these rocks at high tide. Hope this is helpful, good fishing.
