Andy Byron, the startup executive at the center of an extraordinary social media furor, has resigned as CEO of data operations startup Astronomer.

Pete DeJoy stepped up as interim CEO of Astronomer when Byron and Cabot, who were part of the company's leadership, were caught canoodling at a Caldplay concert last week.

Astronomer co-founder Pete DeJoy has stepped in to the role of interim CEO following Andy Byron's resignation in disgrace. Byron was caught on the "kiss cam" at a Coldplay concert last week, cozying up to Astronomer head of HR Kristin Cabot. Both Byron and Cabot are married to other people and have children with their spouses.
