Henkel, a shampoo company in Mexico, has recalled 1,068 units of shampoo due to possible exposure to a bacteria that can lead to eye, nose and skin infections, and possibly more adverse reactions to consumers who have compromised immune systems.

Mexican company Henkel Capital S.A. de C.V. recalled its contaminated Tec Italy shampoo that was distributed in New York and California due to a bacteria called Klebsiella oxytoca that was found in bottles.

Although this bacteria is considered healthy in your intestines, outside the gut, it can cause serious infections, particularly in vulnerable people.
