Rishabh Pant has been run out by England captain Ben Stokes off the last ball before lunch to spoil an otherwise perfect morning session by India on Day 3 of the third test at Lord’s.

India off-spinner Washington Sundar bowled Joe Root and Jamie Smith and reduced England to 175-6 in its second innings at tea on day four Sunday of the Lord's test. Captain Ben Stokes was unbeaten on 27 with Chris Woakes on 8 and England was leading by 175 runs.

India took four wickets to seize control of the third test as England paid the price for over-ambitious batting on a lively pitch to crumble to 98-4 at lunch on the fourth day at Lord's on Sunday.

Notably, both India and England had posted identical scores of 387 in their respective first innings, making this match a rare and closely contested encounter.
