Relatives of Israeli hostages held in Gaza took to the streets for a third day, urging the government to accept a new deal with Hamas before it was too late.

Israelis took to the streets on Sunday to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to conquer the rest of the Gaza Strip rather than attempt to negotiate an end to the war under which Hamas would free its last hostages.

Organizers said that 1 million Israelis participated through hundreds of demonstrations and a general strike on Sunday.

London police said Sunday that 532 people were arrested the previous day when supporters of a pro-Palestinian group that was recently outlawed as a terrorist organization intentionally broke the law.

A large rally in front of the CBC building in downtown Winnipeg on Saturday protested the national broadcaster’s coverage of the Israel-Hamas war and ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
