The PGA Tour says it hasn't made a decision on whether it will move next month's Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club because of the Pacific Palisades fire.

A large wildfire in Southern California is threatening a PGA Tour venue. Riviera Country Club, the site of next month's Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods, is in the mandatory evacuation zone for the Pacific Palisades fire,

The PGA Tour may be forced to relocate the Genesis Invitational due to the fires in Los Angeles, California. The Tour informed members that it is monitoring the situation in Pacific Palisades, where the Riviera Country Club is located, but it has not made an official decision regarding the status of the event.

The Palisades is home to the Riviera Country Club, home of the tour’s Genesis Invitational (formerly known as the Los Angeles Open), which Tiger Woods now hosts. The course and club are reportedly fine, although the neighborhood surrounding the property has been affected. The event is scheduled for Feb. 13-16.

The wildfires spread across Los Angeles and forced nearly a quarter of a million residents to evacuate their residences, as of Thursday (January 9).

Riviera Country Club hasn't been directly affected by the Palisades fire, but the PGA Tour has yet to commit to the Genesis Invitational being played there Feb. 13-16.

Genesis Invitational, hosted by Tiger Woods, is scheduled for Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Feb. 13 to 16.

The famed country club has reportedly not been directly affected by the fires, but the surrounding area has seen considerable damage.
