Iga Swiatek’s post-match interview took an awkward turn Sunday when the interviewer mentioned possibly spitting on her after beating Elena Rybakina in straight sets to reach the Cincinnati Open final.

Iga Swiatek lifted her first Cincinnati Open title, defeating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4 in the women’s singles final.

With this, she has surpassed Victoria Azarenka (10) for the outright second-most of any player since the format's introduction in 2009, trailing only Serena Williams (13).
