The Packers could certainly use some help for Josh Jacobs in the backfield. Green Bay's running game was a mixed bag a season ago in the wake of Aaron Jones' departure to the NFC North divisional rival Minnesota Vikings, where he had an outstanding campaign, much to Packers fans' chagrin.

There was some initial belief that the injury stemmed from a low hit delivered by cornerback Nate Hobbs, but Gutekunst and LaFleur suggested that it occurred when Lloyd attempted to plant his foot while turning the corner on a run play.

As training camp got underway last week, Jacobs said he's never felt better. He went into the offseason feeling back to normal after about a week, rather than needing a month or two for his body to recover.
