President Donald Trump has signed his signature bill of tax and spending cuts at the White House Fourth of July picnic.

The sweeping bill that will cut taxes and impact funding to social programs was passed in the House by a vote of 218-214 on Thursday, July 3.

Despite the media’s breathless speculation, there was never any doubt that Republican senators would sign off on the Senate version of the inaptly named One Big Beautiful Bill. When it comes to Donald Trump, Republicans always fall in line, even at the expense of the nation and their own future.
