Michigan football’s 2025 roster is starting to take shape. The NCAA transfer portal closed on Dec. 28, and although there are still entrants who have yet to find new homes, players can’t enter their names until spring (minus a few exceptions).

With the 2024 season now officially over, the Michigan Wolverines are turning their full attention toward building the best roster possible for the 2025 season.

We knew that the Michigan football team was going to go after offensive linemen in the transfer portal, and they got one here. Lawrence Hattar is the second offensive lineman in this transfer portal class as the Wolverines also landed a commitment from Cal Poly transfer Brady Norton.

Alabama football is still in the roster-building stages ahead of the 2025 season. A few pieces are locked in with LT Overton, Justin Jefferson, Domani Jackson and Deontae Lawson each returning for the 2025 season.

Alabama football picked up a huge addition through the transfer portal at the running back position. The Crimson Tide are coming off a tough first year under head coach Kalen DeBoer. Alabama barely missed the College Football Playoff and then ended its season with a brutal 19-13 loss to 7-5 Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
