Texas Tech’s NiJaree Canady threw every pitch for the Red Raiders in the Women’s College World Series, all the way through the first two games of the championship series and the first inning of the third.

Canady transferred from Stanford to Texas Tech after NIL discussions with the Cardinal reportedly broke down. The star pitcher and her family sought a more lucrative contract after she led a second consecutive trip to the WCWS in 2024, and Texas Tech offered 10 times Stanford's starting price.

Pitcher NiJaree Canady signed her second seven-figure NIL deal with Texas Tech, keeping her on campus through her senior season.
