Golf Digest on MSNTed Scott to return as Scottie Scheffler's caddie at Tour Championship
Ted Scott, who’s served as Scheffler’s caddie since late 2021, missed the final round of the FedEx Cup St. Jude Championship due to a personal matter, an absence that extended to last week’s BMW Championship. However, according to PGA Tour writer Paul Hodowanic, Scott will serve as Scheffler’s loop in the season finale at East Lake this week.
The TOUR Championship features the top 30 golfers from the FedExCup standings in 2025, and just getting a spot in the field means a player has a chance to win this year’s FedExCup – as, new for this year, everyone starts at even par come Thursday.
Like so many times before in his PGA Tour career, Scottie Scheffler delivered his best when his best was required. This time, at the 2025 BMW Championship on Sunday, it was among his most spectacular efforts yet.
Scottie Scheffler completed his second-largest comeback of his career to win the BMW Championship, overtaking leader Robert MacIntyre, with a 15-under finish.
While factual and fresh, it’s strictly academic to state that Scheffler banks 2,000 FedExCup points for the win at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland, because he was a lock to advance to the TOUR Championship long ago. What’s new is the $3.6 million in earnings that the FedExCup points leader grabs from a purse of $20 million.
Scottie Scheffler's dominance of the golf world continued unabated Sunday at Caves Valley Golf Club as the No. 1 golfer on the planet overcame a four-shot deficit to best tournament-long leader Robert MacIntyre and win the 2025 BMW Championship.
