Spotify's U.K. users must now verify their age to access some content on the streaming service as a wider Online Safety Bill comes into force.

Spotify is now requiring UK users to verify their age if they want access to certain types of mature content on the platform.

In a move YouTube says is aimed at providing better protections for younger users, the video giant on Wednesday began rolling out an “age-estimation model” in the U.S. that uses AI to determine if someone is under 18 — regardless of the birthday they’ve entered into their account.
