Residents near the Cheboygan Dam, located in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, should be ready to evacuate at soon as water levels continue to rise, officials said.

As morning rose on the Cheboygan River in northern Michigan on Tuesday, April 14, so did water levels, inching closer to the top of the Cheboygan Lock & Dam Complex,

Crews have been working for days to get the water levels to recede.
