The only other Maverick to do so in history is the esteemed Luka Doncic, who achieved this in February of 2022.

Klay Thompson finished the win with 20 points, four rebounds and one assist while shooting 7/15 from the field and 6/11 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time. Many people reacted to his performance on social media.

Few of the roughly 20,000 fans in the arena or those watching on TV will long recall the exact score of Dallas’ 130-108 rout of the Wizards, but they’ll sure remember Thompson pouring in those franchise-record-tying seven first-quarter 3-pointers in 10 attempts.

Klay Thompson’s days making it to the All-Star team may be over, especially now that he’s been relegated to more of a supporting role on the Dallas Mavericks, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t be participating at all any longer during the weekend’s festivities.
