According to a new story from ESPN, the WNBA has offered to buy the Connecticut Sun and move them to a market of their choosing.

ESPN also reports that the Mohegan Tribe is “frustrated” and feels the league has become “antagonistic” about the sale process after declining an early bid from Cleveland, one of the WNBA’s preferred destinations for a new team.

The Mohegan Tribe’s attempt to sell Connecticut Sun remains in limbo with the WNBA reportedly opposing a relocation to Boston or Hartford.
