Prior to the NBA trade deadline, Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George was mentioned as a possible trade target. This was mainly because his level of play hadn't aligned with his $211 million contract.

With the injury-riddled 76ers currently in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, George is almost certain not to return this season barring an unforeseen surge in the standings by a Philadelphia team
