The campus near the Mohawk River canceled classes Monday after a late-winter thaw swelled rivers with melted snowpack. Continued warmth and rain could mean more widespread flooding later in the week.

Below-zero temperatures have hit the area. An Albany homeless shelter operating at capacity is preparing for an influx as temperatures are expected to further dip.

Albany is anticipated to see 5 to 6 inches of snow - more than Saratoga Springs, which is expected to see 2 to 3 inches, and less than Hudson, which is expected to see 9 to 10 inches.
