Week 1 of the 2025 college football season features a loaded slate, including LSU at Clemson, Notre Dame at Miami and Alabama at Florida State, among others. LSU-Clemson could be a top-five matchup, as could the biggest headliner: Manning and Texas visiting Ohio State in a matchup of the 2024 national champion and our early 2025 favorite.

Notre Dame is fresh off an impressive run to the College Football Playoff National Championship, taking full advantage of the first year of the 12-team format while marching to Atlanta as the No. 7 seed.

The College Football Playoff selects locations several years in advance, and on Friday, it announced that the 2027 national championship will be held in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium. The date of the game has been scheduled for Monday, Jan. 25, 2027.
