In the last hour, heavy showers have been coming down on the North and South Kona districts on Hawaii Island. The Ka’u district is also seeing some flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for those areas until 3:30pm.
Maui County officials are preparing for heavy rain and flash flooding as Tropical Storm Nolo is expected to strengthen and pass near the Big Island, prompting the deployment of high water vehicles and emergency advisories for residents.
