After fleeing to India in 2024, Sheikh Hasina made her first public speech in an audio address to a packed press club in Delhi on Friday.
Bangladesh foreign ministry said Sheikh allowing Hasina to make the speech set "a dangerous precedent" that could "seriously impair bilateral relations".
A simmering dispute between the neighbors, who share one of the largest land borders in the world, has escalated with diplomatic protests and a sports boycott.
Dhaka said it was surprised and shocked that fugitive Sheikh Hasina, convicted by the International Crimes Tribunal for crimes against humanity, was allowed to address a public event in New Delhi, calling for the removal of the government and inciting terror to derail the upcoming general elections.
