The NFL announced its officiating crew for Super Bowl LIX on Tuesday, with six of the eight officials making their first appearance in the big game. Ron Tobert will head the crew as the referee and is making his second Super Bowl appearance in his 15th season.

The NFL announced on Tuesday that A.L. Brown graduate Mike Morton will be part of the officiating crew for the upcoming Super Bowl. Morton, 52, will make history as the first Super Bowl winner to also officiate in a Super Bowl.

The NFL playoffs began with five Super Bowl title-less franchises in the field. Now, that number is down to three.

Veteran NFL official Ron Torbert will be the referee of Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 in New Orleans, the NFL announced Tuesday. The officiating crew also consists of umpire Mike Morton, down judge Max Causey, line judge Mark Stewart, field judge Mearl Robinson, side judge Boris Cheek, back judge Jonah Monroe and replay official Kevin Brown.
