The Denver Broncos are holding a rookie minicamp this weekend for their seven draft picks, 15 undrafted free agents and more than two dozen tryout players. The most notable of those tryout players was expected to be veteran quarterback Desmond Ridder.

Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports that Ridder no longer will attend the team’s three-day rookie minicamp. No reason was given for the change of plans. Ridder became a free agent in March after the Raiders did not tender a contract to him as a restricted free agent.

The Denver Broncos made a quarterback decision ahead of rookie minicamp after Desmond Ridder backed out, paving the way for Ian Book to reunite with Sean Payton.
