After some confusion, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem says the State Department is "planning for contingencies" to help Americans leave Israel, but some aren't waiting around.

The United States was working to organize evacuation routes Americans in Israel — as the Jewish state and Iran continued to fire a barrage of missiles at each other. It comes after the embassy revealed it would be shut from Wednesday through Friday in order to comply with Israeli guidance.
