A children's rehabilitation hospital in Canton, Massachusetts, will relocate to the western part of the state, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced Tuesday.

There is “No feasible way to provide the same level of care” at Western Massachusetts Hospital according to a nurses union representing employees at both locations.

I think this is a redirecting of services and car,” said Gov. Maura Healey at the State House Wednesday. “I recognize that’s a hard thing for those who are living in that facility. It’s a hard thing for the workforce in that facility.
