Just as airlines are now requiring REAL IDs to hop on a flight, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced it's rolling out a brand-new driver's license and ID design. But there's no need to fret, all unexpired identification cards will remain valid until their expiration date.

Texas driver licenses are about to get a makeover. The Texas Department of Public Safety rolled out a new design Monday for all state-issued driver license and identification cards. New cards are made of tamper-resistant polycarbonate material that is difficult to reproduce, the department said in an announcement.

Starting Aug. 18, all newly issued Texas driver license and ID cards will have a new look with increased security features.
