NEW YORK — Wall Street inched to more records on July 24 as gains for Google’s parent company and artificial-intelligence stocks helped make up for Tesla's steep tumble.

The S&P increased by more than 0.6% on Monday afternoon to a record intraday high of 6,336, while the Nasdaq rose up to nearly 0.8% to an intraday record of 21,077 before both indexes pared gains back slightly.

A muted start was seen at the Wall Street on Tuesday, following the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite's fresh records a day earlier. The S&P 500 was trading marginally lower at 6,302.95 within minutes of the market's opening,
