A GoFundMe campaign created to support the family of the Minneapolis woman killed by an ICE agent on Jan. 7 was closed Jan. 9 at $1.5 million.

GoFundMe ignores own rules by hosting a legal defence fundraiser for ICE agent Jonathan Ross who killed Renee Good.

The fundraiser — which received $1,503,533 from about 38,000 donations — was set up Wednesday to support Good’s widowed wife and three children after the 37-year-old was shot dead when she plowed her SUV into the immigration officer who fired the fatal shot during a raucous protest in Minneapolis.

Following Good’s death, thousands of locals attended vigils and protests honoring her life and urging ICE to leave the state. Their calls were echoed by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz . And Colorado Governor Jared Polis, leader of Good's home state, has also called for a full investigation into her death.

After videos of her shooting by an ICE agent went viral, a fundraised was launched on GoFundMe for Renee Good, who was a mother to a 6-year-old son. The campaign is geared towards raising money to support Good’s wife and son after the tragedy that struck their family.
