GULMARG- The Gulmarg leg of the Khelo India Winter Games 2025, originally set to begin on February 15, has been postponed due to insufficient snowfall. Events scheduled for February 22 to 25, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowboarding, were to take place.

Despite being located at 2,650 metres above sea level, there was insufficient snowfall for this year’s Khelo Winter Games to get under way.

The Himalayan resort of Gulmarg in Kashmir was due to hold national competitions in Alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering and snowboarding from February 22-25

The winter sporting event was set to begin on February 22, but with the slopes running out of snow for skiing, the games have now been deferred until the next bout of snow
