Forsberg scored on a slap shot from the right circle on the rush that beat Arvid Soderblom on the blocker side to tie the game 2-2. The goal was Forsberg's 300th in the NHL and extended his goal streak to four games.

Forsberg got the Predators on the board on the power play at 16:45 of the second period. With Pionk in the box for his second penalty of the period, Forsberg fired a wrist shot by Hellebuyck to cut the Jets' lead to 3-1.

Forsberg extended his goal streak to five games after not scoring in the previous 18. Roman Josi had two assists for the Predators (16-22-7), who have won three consecutive games. Juuse Saros made 27 saves.
