The Minnesota Vikings will not be rid of menacing Detroit Lions coordinator Ben Johnson. After leading the Lions' No. 1 scoring offense for the 2024 season, Johnson was a top candidate in the head coaching hiring cycle. Johnson took interviews with four AFC teams but appears to be staying in the NFC North.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Bears have requested permission to interview Minnesota Vikings passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Daronte Jones for their vacant defensive coordinator position in 2025.

That means that two of the three teams that Flores interviewed with are still looking to fill their head coaching vacancies. Those teams are both in the AFC, the Jacksonville Jagu
