Apple will lean on Google to help finish its bungled attempts to smarten up its virtual assistant Siri and bring other artificial intelligence features to the iPhone as the trendsetting company plays catch up in technology’s latest craze.

This follows an investigation by the Guardian that found Google AI Overviews offering misleading information in response to some health-related queries.

Alphabet, Google's parent company, became the fourth company to reach a $4 trillion value Monday after Apple said it will use Gemini for AI.

The search giant is making its first foray into the agentic commerce market with AI tools for retailers. Meanwhile, major chains are already preparing for the wave of AI agent-based shopping.
