A small plane has struck two homes in Phoenix before crashing nose-down in a backyard. The two people on board and a man in one of the homes suffered minor cuts and burns and were taken to a hospital.

The aircraft failed to get fully airborne and, 30 seconds later, smashed into the 14th Street Bridge, hitting seven vehicles. It then plunged into the river.
