Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube said after Pacioretty missed practice on Monday morning that the 17-year veteran won't play and his status for returning is day-to-day.

The Toronto Maple Leafs had some good and not-so-good injury updates on Monday ahead of their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Max Pacioretty wasn't on the ice for the Maple Leafs' morning skate.

As per the Maple Leafs PR department, “Maple Leafs F Max Pacioretty will not skate this morning (upper body).” It’s not clear what the injury is, but there was a moment in the Leafs last game where Pacioretty almost took a puck off the ear.
