Apple just revealed a bundle of new AirPods features at WWDC 2025. That includes a way to control your iPhone or iPad’s camera by tapping the stem of your AirPods. Your AirPods can now detect when you’ve fallen asleep as well, allowing them to pause playback so you don’t miss what you were listening to.

Apple has been working on new AirPods upgrades that could be announced at the event, according to a report by 9to5Mac citing an unnamed source. Last year, the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 got head gestures that allow you to nod or shake your head to accept and dismiss calls.

The update will be available for the upcoming AirPods 4, AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and the latest AirPods Pro 2.
