DeAngelo has been a member of the Islanders for a week now, four games, and he hasn’t been on the ice for a loss. He's played 25:33 minutes per game, quarterbacking the top power play and even getting some penalty kill minutes under his belt, too.

This is not the Tony DeAngelo Revenge Tour. It is not about proving something to the teams that cast him off or those that did not sign him over the summer. It is about the here and now: helping get the Islanders into the playoffs and making good on their decision to bring him back to the NHL.

For a first impression, you could do a whole lot worse than Tony DeAngelo did in his Islanders’ debut on Saturday night.
