ICC announced a revised schedule for Champions Trophy's trophy tour on Saturday, November 16. India Today has learnt that the changes were made after objection from BCCI honourary secretary Jay Shah.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has initially planned a tour of Champions Trophy in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) cities but after strong objections from BCCI the schedule has been changed.

According to a report by Pakistani outlet Geo News, the ICC have reportedly informed the BCCI that they need a written explanation as to why they have refused to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025.

“BCCI secretary Shah has objected to the PCB’s idea to hold a Champions Trophy tour in PoK. The BCCI has no problem if the tour is conducted in any other city of Pakistan or even in a stadium outside PoK or in a mall. But they cannot hold it in PoK,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by IE.
