The San Diego Padres have reportedly been chasing a trade for Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran for months, but that pursuit has taken a wild turn.

The Boston Red Sox, according to Sean McAdam of Masslive.com, "quickly rejected" a trade offer from the San Diego Padres for Jarren Duran.
