Melania Trump took the unique step of crafting a letter calling for peace in Ukraine, having her husband Donald Trump deliver it to Vladimir Putin.

In theory, it was perhaps a noble gesture: First Lady Melania Trump sending a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin pleading for the safety and welfare of the children. In practice, it was, well, a bit barmy.

Jack Schlossberg read aloud the letter Melania Trump recently wrote to Vladimir Putin, and quipped "This makes no sense."

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he hoped Vladimir Putin was going to "be good" and move forward toward ending the war in Ukraine, but conceded it was possible the Russian president doesn't want to make a deal.
