One of those famous faces is TV presenter Michaela Strachan, who "bar the off bit of skating people do with their kids" has fairly little ice skating experience. She is paired with Mark Hanretty, a Scottish former competitive ice dancer, who has appeared on the ITV series since 2011.

She is now with her partner Nick Chevallier and they had a son together, Oliver, in 2005. They normally live in South Africa and Michaela is basing herself in the UK for her stint on Dancing on Ice.
