Sen. Mike Lee found time Tuesday to delete social media posts blaming liberals for the fatal shooting of a Democratic state legislator in Minnesota—but not to apologize for them. Gone from the Utah Republican’s @BasedMikeLee account was his post calling the killing a “Nightmare on Waltz Street” and his other one reading,
“Based” Mike Lee, that is. The Republican senator created a second account on Twitter in July 2022, in addition to his official account, @SenMikeLee. @BasedMikeLee is where the senator vents his spleen and unleashes his id, as though revealing a Jekyll-and-Hyde split personality.
