Dallas Stars' forward Roope Hintz will be out for at least a week after a puck struck his face during a game against the Edmonton Oilers. Despite the concerning injury, medical evaluations revealed no fractures.

Nill said on the DLLS Stars Podcast Tuesday that Hintz was evaluated by doctors Monday, and it was determined that the forward does not have a fracture in his face. The injury occurred near his eye, so doctors want Hintz to keep his heart rate down for the next 5-7 days.

After taking a puck to the face at the 10:45 mark of the second period of Saturday night’s game against Edmonton, Hintz left the game and did not return. He was taken to the hospital and ruled out for Sunday’s game in Vancouver.
