Montse Tomé had been expecting to keep her job as coach of Spain's women's national team after leading it to the final of the European Championship last month and says she doesn’t know why her contract wasn’t extended.

Spain’s women’s national team has parted ways with head coach Montse Tome. The Spanish football federation (RFEF) has announced Tome’s contract, which expires at the end of August, will not be extended. Spain’s Under-23 head coach Sonia Bermudez has been confirmed as Tome’s replacement.
