NEW DELHI, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Indian Prime Minister Modi said he had spoken with Bangladesh's Tarique Rahman, hours after Rahman's party won a two-thirds majority in a general election on Friday.

The Prime Minister said he was delighted to speak to Rahman and conveyed his best wishes and support to the BNP chief, who is poised to become the new prime minister of Bangladesh.

Tarique Rahman's BNP claimed victory, the party has won 213 seats and is leading in others. Jamaat and allies bagged 71 seats. Islami Andolon Bangladesh has won one seat, while others- 6 seats.
