Neighboring agencies are working to pick up the pieces after tragedy struck the Tremonton Garland Police Department.

The procession for two fallen police officers passed through Tremonton Monday evening, giving the community a chance to show support for law enforcement.

At least three police officers have been shot in Box Elder County, Utah, local authorities confirmed. A heavy law enforcement presence rushed to the scene as the situation unfolded.

Garland and Tremonton unified their departments, but like many other smaller departments, there are unique challenges they face.
