NFL 2025/2026 regular season wrap-up: AFC North
As the regular season comes to a close, the AFC North’s picture is finally complete. After months of tight races, statement wins, and division-altering moments, the standings reflect a season defined by consistency at the top and missed opportunities below.
The AFC North has seen two head coaches fired over the past week, as the Browns first parted ways with Kevin Stefanski, and then the Ravens handed John Harbaugh a pink slip after 18 years with the franchise. The two teams should have just traded coaches instead.
The Browns also brought in Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher for an interview last week. While both teams are also kicking the tires on defensive coaches, one thing is clear: Both the Browns and Ravens are open to an offensive minded head coach.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are AFC North champions for the first time in five years following their Week 18 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
Cam Heyward mentioned Aaron Smith, Brett Keisel, Casey Hampton, and others for why he always goes all out each and every play. He got candid. “I’m jealous of them. They have something I don’t have….when they come back for their reunion, I want to show them some hardware.”
The Cincinnati Bengals are content to run it back with Zac Taylor at head coach in 2026. But the rest of the AFC North…the vibes are different. The Cleveland Browns fired Kevin Stefanski. Not long after, the Baltimore Ravens pulled the shocker by firing John Harbaugh.
