The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo said goodbye to its 32-year-old Asiatic black bear, Beezler, over the weekend, according to a news release.

Beezler, a 32-year-old Asiatic black bear that had lived at Colorado’s Cheyenne Mountain Zoo since she was a cub, was euthanized on Sunday, zoo officials said.

The Peoria Zoo is mourning the loss of Butch, a black-handed spider monkey and the oldest known member of his species, who was born in 1973 and lived at the zoo since 1981.

The oldest Asian black bear in US human care cherished her last day at Colorado’s Cheyenne Mountain Zoo before being euthanized at age 30, zookeepers said.
