The NFL's Netflix debut on Christmas Day was an overwhelming success, with an average of more than 24 million people watching each game of the doubleheader. The audience peaked at 27 million when Beyonce was performing the halftime show in Houston.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter took the stage at NRG Stadium on Christmas Day performing the halftime show at the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game. The 32-time Grammy-winning artist began the performance by singing "16 Carriages" while riding a white horse into the stadium.

According to NBC News, the league has prohibited all its players from any "violent gestures" that mimic "the firing of a pistol or a shotgun or a bazooka." Players can be fined for the gestures but it can also create a disadvantage during a game, resulting in a 15-yard penalty. Players are allowed to appeal the fines.
