The Chicago area has gotten a bit of a reprieve from snow lately, but that’s going to change with multiple chances of accumulating snow in coming days.

It's a seasonably cold January day with temperatures in the lower 30s this afternoon. The average high temperature for January 11th is 32 degrees.

Chicago faces rain today with a 90% chance of precipitation, followed by a weekend cooldown and possible snow.

After days of mild temperatures, snow is back in the Chicago-area forecast, with multiple rounds possible over the next few days starting with the chance for as much as 12 inches in parts of northwest Indiana where winter storm warnings and advisories were in effect.
