A person familiar with the agreement tells The Associated Press that pitcher Jack Flaherty is returning to the Detroit Tigers, agreeing Sunday to a $35 million, two-year contract.

Flaherty's deal includes a $10 million player option for 2026 that could rise to $20 million if he makes 15 starts in 2025.

According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, the Tigers brought back right-hander Jack Flaherty on a two-year, $35 million contract. The deal includes an opt-out after the first year.

The Dodgers won't be resigning Jack Flaherty as the right-hander is heading back to the Detroit Tigers for next season.
